My attitude towards
food
I considered my eating habits
healthy therefore, I remember back home anyone could eat any types of food they
want or desire without having the fear
of gaining weight or the consequences behind it. The main reason is that, food back in my country
were mostly organic food therefore, it didn’t have any chemical in all types of
food we were feeding in our bodies. The beauty behind it was that no matter how
much calories a person eats, it will burn itself up because the weather was
always hot and humidity. And everyone
would walk around sweat on their feet without the needs to hit the gym. However
my eating habits changed since I came in the U.S, because it became more about maintaining
or keeping balance of which types of food to eat and which types of food to avoid.
When I am at home, I like to cook varies/colorful food that has a lot of cooked
vegetables, however once in a blue moon my family and I would have take- outs
food or go out to eat in special occasions only. When I go grocery shopping I
shop at Cub foods or Rainbows, sometimes I try to buy organic food for my family
but its really expansive to even shop at WHOLE FOOD market. My family and I try
to live in healthy lifestyle in any possibly ways.
Is the food we eat healthy and
safe?
According to the owner
of farmer factory “Secrets and Deception at Supermarket” chicken in farm
factory uses special hormones to get the baby chicks more fatter or gain weight
in only forty- two days therefore, the food we eat is not healthy and safe for
our bodies because most of food comes chemically contaminated. According to Eating food That’s Better for You, Organic
or Not by Mark Bittman “You can begin in your own cupboard, by eliminating
processed food, trying to cook a meal a little more often, trying to
incorporate more fruits and vegetables.” Mostly people don’t realize that eating
a lot of vegetables and fruits may reduce risk of several chronic diseases,
therefore we should eat healthier food, or change our lifestyle in order to live
expend, healthier happy life.
